Hurt Thumb and Hand

Hi,



I fell in the shower three weeks ago and hurt my thumb and hand. It is still sore. The base of my thumb developed a bruise and a bump is felt at the thumb’s base on the palm side of my hand. I keep icing it and taking advil but it is not working. Do you think I might have a fracture in my thumb or hand? I did go to the doctors and he diagnosed me as a sprained hand but I think it maybe something more than just a sprain because of the way I fell.
